Guess how many braincells that took?
Then you get the damage from 1 ancestor's rage.

No, I think that is the point.

Ancestor's Rage >>>>> Clamor of Souls

No one who's sane in the head would use Clamor of Souls as it is now. Ever.

I wouldn't use Clamor of Souls... While it initially looks good when you first cap it, it turns out to be far too unpredictable. The only way I've ever been able to get it to do any reliable damage is when I set down a few spirits where I'm standing and wait for a few monsters to start biting my blindfold off before casting. Channeling magic needs a reliable damage elite, IMO

i like the idea someone had on guildwiki...

Elite Hex Spell. For 2 seconds, nothing happens. When this Hex ends, for each Spirit within (your) earshot you deal 60 lightning damage to target foe and all foes nearby to target foe (maximum 30...150...180 damage). 10 energy ,3/4 cast, 10 recharge.

can maybe tone down the damage, seeing as it also hits nearby foes to target....also because i hear the faint cry of the waahhhmbulance for ritspike.

Call me lame (others have, you won't be the first, or the last), but no, I don't.

I run THAT as my elite on channeling rit: glimmering mark on a ball of melee attackers + ancestor's rage... blind warriors and rangers and sins all over the place!

But for the OP-- yea, I capped Clamor and immediately found it...useless. I do NOT want to walk into the middle of some furball fight and get hacked at, just so I can drop Clamor.

Hehe, yeah glimmering mark is WAY underrated. The only problem is it is a hex (and thus kinda worthless in places where it gets removed) and that it doesn't deal additional damage. But if you actually run it isn't THAT bad. Still, blinding surge works better in places with enchantments. Though I admit that using an air elite with a channeling rt like that is a very creative use for that skill.

That is not wway to fix it.

10e, 1/4 cast, 20 recharge
Elite Spell. Destroy target spirit. All spirits within earshot of target spirit take 30...150 lighting damage, enemies using a skill are interrupted. All spirits your party controls die.

That is a way. Since the party can't have more tha one Destruction spirit, for example.
